Our Associates possess extensive experience as program evaluators, researchers, educators, curriculum developers, and administrators. We have extensive experience in the following areas: research design, data collection, human subjects/IRB approval, quantitative and qualitative data analysis, report writing, designing and implementing professional learning, evaluating educational systems and programs, curriculum development, and writing and administering grants.

Dan Bishop, Ed.D., Principal Partner and CEO

Dr. Dan Bishop serves as a professor in the School of Education at Seattle Pacific University. His passion for improving learning grew from 20 years of P–12 experience as a classroom teacher and principal inspiring a research agenda focused on linking effective teaching to effective learning and the system-wide impact of policy and practice on the learning outcomes of P–12 students. He served as the lead evaluator of grant projects from the Murdock Foundation and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

Andrew Lumpe, Ph.D., Director

Dr. Andrew Lumpe served as a secondary classroom teacher, school district curriculum director, school board member, and university professor. His publications include over 40 book chapters and articles in peer reviewed journals. He obtained and directed over $6 million in grant projects from the National Science Foundation, U.S. Department of Education, and various state agencies. He is a member of the American Evaluation Association and served as a program evaluator for projects funded by the National Science Foundation, U.S. Department of Education, National Institutes of Health, the Department of Defense Educational Activity, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and various state agencies. Dr. Lumpe currently manages dissertation faculty/processes and chairs doctoral dissertations for Abilene Christian University.

Torrey Lumpe, M.S., Director

Torrey Lumpe began her career as a high school math teacher and served as a statistical consultant for educational and pharmaceutical projects. She possesses experience analyzing large, complex data sets using various multivariate statistical models. She taught university level statistics courses and also has extensive experience as an accountant.

Robin Henrikson, Ph.D., Senior Associate

Dr. Robin Henrikson is a professor in the School of Education at Seattle Pacific University. Her professional background includes experience as a classroom teacher and professional development facilitator in the implementation of collaborative professional development . Her role with program evaluation includes direct work with program implementation teams, recommendations for adjustments or refinements to program design (consulting and “thought partners”) and implementation process to match evaluation plan and project outcomes. She is also currently serving as an elected school board member.

Dr. Henrikson's Vita

Nalline Balliram, Ph.D., Associate

Dr. Nalline Balliram teaches at Seattle Pacific University after teaching high school mathematics for 14 years. Dr. Baliram primarily teaches graduate-level courses to pre-service teachers who are preparing to teach mathematics and/or science at the middle and high school levels. Her research focuses on teacher attrition and multiple modes of teaching. More specifically, she examines why math and science teachers are quitting the profession during their first five years of teaching. Furthermore, she uses her expert knowledge and experience with online teaching to research ways to support and prepare teachers for effective online instruction.
